Bengaluru: Karnataka will offer free anti-rabies vaccination to 11 lakh pet animals across the state in Oct and Nov under Assistance to States for Control of Animal Diseases (ASCAD) programme, animal husbandry minister C Puttarangashetty said Monday. The initiative is part of the state’s efforts to achieve zero human deaths from dog-mediated rabies by 2030. Puttarangashetty was speaking at the inauguration of World Rabies Day 2026 programme at AV Rama Rao Auditorium, Indian Institute of Science.
