KMC Hospital, hosts its 21st ‘Walk for your heart’ walkathon, in Mangaluru, Sunday
Mangaluru: KMC Hospital Mangaluru hosted its 21st ‘Walk for your heart’ World Heart Day Walkathon, drawing over 1,500 participants to promote cardiovascular health and active, heart-healthy lifestyles. Dr Dilip G Naik, pro vice-chancellor, MAHE Mangalore Campus; Anand Fernandes, CEO, EGDK India Pvt Ltd; Dr Narasimha Pai, head of cardiology; Dr Padmanabha Kamath, senior consultant cardiologist; Dr Maneesh Rai, electrophysiologist; Dr MN Bhat; Dr Harish Raghavan and Dr Iresh Shetty, cardiac surgeons; and Pramod Kunder, cluster director, KMC Hospital, flagged off the walkathon.
National-level athlete Sakshi Christina Karkada was the torchbearer. The walk began at KMC Hospital, BR Ambedkar Circle, and passed through Balmatta Road, Taj Mahal, Milagres Church, IMA Hall, Attavar and SL Mathias Rd before concluding at Marena Sports Complex, Kaprigudda.
