Koppal : SDPI has demanded that MLA K Raghavendra Hitnal release a white paper detailing the more than Rs 10,000 crore in funds he claimed to have brought to Koppal assembly constituency over the past 13 years.
Hitnal was recently reported to have said that he had brought more than Rs 10,000 crore to the constituency.
Qadri said there had already been public demands for a white paper on the issue. All details, he said, should be made public in a work-wise and fund-wise format. “If the claim of having brought more than Rs 10,000 crore in funds is true, there should be no difficulty in providing records and complete details of the works,” Qadri said.
He had also spoken to the media about development works taken up during the period. SDPI Koppal assembly constituency president Saleem Qadri questioned where the claimed funds had been spent and demanded that the MLA make the details public. He sought department-wise details of funds received, amounts sanctioned for individual works, projects completed and expenditure incurred. He added that development figures should be visible not only in speeches but also on the ground.
