Mandya: A married woman and her male friend allegedly ended their lives by jumping in front of a moving train on a railway track near VC Farm Road here on Friday. On Thursday, Rahul reportedly took Sahana from the village. However, they allegedly took the extreme step on Friday morning.
The deceased are Sahana , 26, and Rahul , 28, her neighbour.
The two were reportedly in a relationship for the past three years, according to preliminary information. Sahana married Veeresh, an autorickshaw driver, eight years ago. The couple has a six-year-old daughter and a two-year-old son. The family had been residing in Madanayakanahalli in Bengaluru, where Rahul lived in the same residential building. Their acquaintance reportedly developed into a relationship.
After Veeresh came to know about the affair, frequent arguments broke out between the couple. Despite shifting to another locality and attempts by village elders to resolve the dispute, tensions reportedly continued. Last Monday, another argument reportedly erupted when Sahana expressed her wish to live with Rahul.
Following this, she left her husband’s house on Tuesday and went to her grandmother’s residence at Gunnayakanahalli in Mandya district.
