Mysuru: Mysuru city police have registered an FIR against unknown persons on charges of cheating, forgery and promoting enmity between different groups for submitting Form-7 applications, which are filed to delete voter entries in the electoral rolls. Ravishankar told TOI that 501 Form-7 applications were submitted by unknown persons without mentioning their names and details in the form. Election officers, however, are orally saying that those Form-7 applications lacking complete details will not be entertained, Ravishankar told TOI. Giving an example, Ravishankar claimed that Form 7 applications against three members of the BLA’s family, including his wife, mother and himself, have been submitted in booth 155 of ward 49 in the KR assembly segment. Ravishankar, in his complaint to KR police on Oct 1, stated that during the SIR process in the Krishnaraja assembly constituency, false information was entered in Form No. 7 without any valid supporting documents and submitted to the ECI, resulting in misuse of the process to remove names from the voters’ list. 7 between Sept 21 and 23 with malicious intent.
