Mysuru : The state govt will soon publish a list of sites identified as illegal under the controversial Muda 50:50 scheme, urban development minister and Mysuru district minister Yathindra Siddaramaiah said on Monday.
Speaking to reporters in Mysuru, he said BJP MLA TS Srivatsa had submitted a representation seeking clarity on the issue and that the list was being prepared for publication soon. Sites found to have been allotted illegally will be cancelled in accordance with the findings of the Justice Desai Commission, he said. Sites allotted legally were not included in the commission’s list, as each allotment had been examined before the report was submitted, according to the minister. “There is no need to re-verify those sites now,” he said, adding that the administration would release details of the irregularities identified by the commission. Yathindra also said the govt would examine measures to protect genuine buyers who may have purchased such sites from beneficiaries who had acquired them illegally.
