“According to eyewitnesses and other commuters, the two were arguing loudly. At one stage, Sampangi is said to have pulled out his revolver and fired a bullet into Seena’s leg before escaping,” a senior police officer said. Seena, undergoing treatment at a hospital, is out of danger, police said.
The incident took place near NICE bridge at Pillaganahalli late Wednesday evening, when the suspect, Gottigere Sampangi, allegedly shot at and injured Mental Seena of Weavers’ Colony. However, cops are yet to confirm who shot at Seena. Sampangi is at large. Sampangi and Seena were once friends but developed differences over real estate deals. Download the TOI App.
