Rathod, whose DDO code is 303460, had worked as a guest teacher at Bachimatti school for three years. He was also appointed at Vajjal school, with DDO code 303820, for the 2025-26 academic year after submitting the required documents. His salary from Vajjal school was credited through K-2 bill token number 2515442080, while Bachimatti school deposited the amount through token number 2516812864.
Bachimatti High School headmaster Nanagouda Biradar told TOI that Rathod had worked at the school for three years and used to remain absent due to ill health. Vajjal Govt High School headmaster Gurubasappa Appagol told TOI that Rathod was appointed due to a shortage of Hindi teachers and was paid for eight months. Guest teachers are required to work full-time at one school, raising questions over how the alleged arrangement continued and whether the headmasters were aware of it. He was relieved after officials learnt that he was working at another school, but subsequently rejoined Vajjal after submitting an undertaking.
