Shivamogga : Shivamogga MLA SN Channabasappa, who contested on a BJP ticket in the last assembly election after former DCM KS Eshwarappa stepped aside, has expressed strong dissatisfaction over the recent political activities of the Rashtrabhaktara Balaga, led by Eshwarappa.

He noted that there is a marked difference between the objectives with which the Rashtrabhaktara Balaga was originally formed and the activities it is currently undertaking in Shivamogga. “It is becoming increasingly evident that attempts are being made to defeat the BJP in Shivamogga. He expressed disappointment that such developments were emerging from a veteran right-wing leader like Eshwarappa.
Speaking to reporters at the BJP office in Shivamogga on Thursday, Channabasappa said there appears to be a significant shift in the organisation’s direction.
Expressing confidence in the BJP’s prospects, he said an NDA-led govt would be formed in the state after the 2028 assembly elections.

Reiterating the saffron party’s ideological commitment, Channabasappa said the BJP continues to work for the protection and promotion of Hindutva. the MLA clarified that the party has no objection to anyone contesting elections democratically in the future While acknowledging that several active BJP workers are associated with the Rashtrabhaktara Balaga. “We have no objection if you choose to contest elections in the future. However, creating unnecessary political confusion and friction is unacceptable. He warned that BJP workers and supporters would not remain silent if anyone sought political growth solely with the objective of defeating the party.
