Bengaluru: The deadline for ration card beneficiaries to complete e-KYC verification has been extended to Nov 10 from Oct 20. The food, civil supplies and consumer affairs department has directed 1.1 crore beneficiaries who completed e-KYC more than a year ago to repeat the process. Besides these beneficiaries, 3.8 lakh ration cardholders who have never completed e-KYC and 54.3 lakh beneficiaries whose e-KYC was completed more than five years ago are also required to undergo verification.
All these beneficiaries must complete e-KYC by Nov 10 through the Anna Seve mobile app or at fair price shops using the department’s Ahara software, the department said.
