Hubballi : Union Minister Pralhad Joshi on Tuesday said India has witnessed decisive governance, rapid economic growth and major technological advancement under Prime Minister Narendra Modi ’s leadership over the past 12 years. Addressing a press conference, Joshi noted that Modi served as Gujarat CM for 13 years before completing 12 years as Prime Minister, making him one of the country’s longest-serving elected leaders. To mark Modi’s 25 years in public service and governance, a nationwide ‘Seva Sankalp Abhiyan’will be held from Sept 17 to Oct 17.
Joshi said the Centre is prioritising domestic manufacturing to reduce dependence on imports, particularly from China. He highlighted growth in solar manufacturing and mobile phone production, and said the next phase would focus on Indian-designed handsets. With the slogan ‘ Jana Seveye Prabhu Seve ’, the campaign will involve BJP workers, NDA allies and voluntary organisations. Activities will include painting and speech competitions for schoolchildren, street plays, programmes at Anganwadi centres, digital campaigns, padayatras, bike rallies and service initiatives across districts. He also cited higher sugarcane FRP and progress in ethanol blending as key achievements.
