Belagavi : Union home minister Amit Shah will visit Examba in Chikkodi taluk on Saturday to inaugurate the newly constructed administrative office of Shri Bireshwar Co-operative Credit Society Ltd. (multi-state) and address a public gathering.
Senior police officials have inspected the venue over the past two days and reviewed security arrangements ahead of the programme. Leaders and representatives of the cooperative sector from Karnataka , Maharashtra, Goa and other parts of the country are expected to attend. Among those scheduled to be present are Union minister for education and renewable energy Pralhad Joshi, Union minister for heavy industries and steel HD Kumaraswamy, Maharashtra chief minister Devendra Fadnavis , Goa chief minister Pramod Sawant , Union minister of state for co-operation Muralidhar Mohol, Karnataka BJP president BY Vijayendra, leader of opposition in the legislative assembly R Ashoka, leader of opposition in the legislative council Chalavadi Narayanaswamy, and Belagavi MP and former chief minister Jagadish Shettar.
To accommodate the expected turnout, organisers have arranged parking facilities at eight locations around the venue. Forty-eight digital screens have been installed to enable people gathered across the grounds to watch the programme.
