An argument broke out among a few persons in the weekly market area under jurisdiction of Badnera police, according to preliminary information. The dispute reportedly escalated near a liquor shop, where the accused attacked the victims with sharp weapons. Police are scanning CCTV footage from the weekly market and surrounding areas to identify the attackers. The incident triggered tension in the locality for some time. A scuffle reportedly broke out between two groups after the attack, in which a few persons sustained minor injuries. Police have deployed additional force in the area to maintain law and order.
