Pune: An unidentified man withdrew Rs 1 lakh after swapping the ATM card of a Hadapsar-based autorickshaw driver under the pretext of helping him withdraw cash on Sept 16. The autorickshaw driver (38) lodged a complaint with Hadapsar police on Saturday.
Senior inspector Hemant Patil of the Hadapsar police said, “The driver visited an ATM kiosk of a public sector bank and tried to withdraw cash from his account. At the time, the suspect was already present in the kiosk.”

The suspect told him that the ATM was not functioning and asked the driver to show his ATM card and sought his PIN under the pretext of helping him withdraw cash,” Patil said.
