The notice was served on Aug 19 following an inspection on Aug 13, which found multiple breaches of the Food Safety and Standards Act, 2006. The firm neither submitted an explanation nor appeared for a hearing on Sept 10. The inspection further revealed non-compliance with staff health and safety norms.

Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar : Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has suspended the food licence of a quick-commerce firm operating a warehouse in Wadgaon Kolhati, Waluj, after it failed to respond to an improvement notice issued over serious hygiene violations. “The firm has been directed not to manufacture, store, sell or distribute any food items during the suspension period. Food inspectors found unhygienic conditions in the godown and cold storage rooms, including fungus growth and pest infestation. Food items were also stored directly on the floor and against walls. Authorities found no records of annual medical check-ups or vaccination of food handlers, while workers were seen without aprons, gloves and headgear.
