Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar : As Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar gears up for the final day of Ganesh festival on Friday, the municipal corporation has intensified preparations with 47 idol collection centres, QR-based navigation and enhanced safety measures across immersion points. Municipal commissioner Amol Yedge reviewed arrangements at key immersion sites, including wells at Zilla Parishad ground, Sambhaji Peth, N-12 and Shivajinagar, besides the artificial pond at Rajiv Gandhi Stadium and Devlai Lake.
“Officials have been directed to ensure adequate lighting, barricading, police deployment, lifeguards, power backup, drinking water, first-aid facilities and mobile toilets for devotees,” he said. “The collected idols will undergo symbolic immersion rituals by the corporation before being handed over to sculptors for recycling,” he said.
