Police seized medicines and medical equipment, including bottles, syringes, and antibiotic tablets, collectively valued at around ₹2.20 lakh.

The accused were allegedly treating patients for various ailments and prescribing allopathic, Ayurvedic and Unani medicines despite not possessing the required qualifications, according to police. Some were also allegedly found selling expired Unani and Ayurvedic medicines.

Mumbai: The city crime branch Unit 7, with the BMC Medical Officer, raided seven clinics across Mumbai and identified 10 persons allegedly practising medicine without valid medical degrees or registration with the Maharashtra Medical Council.

Crime Branch Unit 6 conducted a separate action at Samar Ayurvedic Hospital in Mankhurd. A case has been registered at Bhandup Police Station under Sections 33 and 36 of the Maharashtra Medical Practitioners Act, 1961. The investigation has been handed over to Crime Branch Unit 7, Ghatkopar.
