Disha Salian's father serves defamation notice to Aaditya Thackeray at Matoshree

Salian was found dead at a Malad housing society on June 8, 2020

Mumbai: Late celebrity manager Disha Salian’s father, Satish Salian, visited the residence of Shiv Sena (UBT) functionary Aaditya Thackeray at Matoshree on Saturday to hand over a Rs 500 crore defamation notice through his lawyer, alleging that Aaditya had posted false statements on X accusing him of political motives and of spreading wrong propaganda relating to the investigation of his daughter’s death. Salian died in 2020 after falling from a building.

He also alleged his lawyers had been threatened by Sena (UBT) netas and told they would not be allowed to practise law. But the fact is that the court allowed our petition seeking a CBI probe,” said Salian’s lawyer Nilesh Ojha. “They had threatened that our lawyers would not be allowed to practice. Then they were accusing us of personal enmity. His post had come days after the CBI registered an FIR in connection with Salian’s death, following a directive from Bombay high court for a thorough probe. The CBI FIR did not name any accused but named several people whose roles require investigation, including Thackeray.
