Local corporator Manoj Patil said no one was injured in the incident and the idol was also undamaged. Nalasopara police station senior inspector Vishal Walvi said no one had suffered serious injuries and the mandal members subsequently continued the procession with the idol. Though a few devotees were trapped underneath the idol, they were quickly rescued by fellow members of the procession. They placed it on a trolley and began taking it towards Moregaon. As the procession was passing through the Fun Fiesta theatre area, heavy rain accompanied by strong winds began. A few members were caught underneath the idol.
