Kolhapur : In the draft electoral roll for Kolhapur district published after the first stage of the special intensive revision (SIR), out of 33,55,244 voters who were in the latest 2024 roll, 4,49,257 voters stand deleted for multiple reasons, while 29,06,031 voters have been included in the draft list.
Out of the 4,49,257 deleted voters, 1.42 lakh are deceased, 97,547 are absent, 1.58 lakh have shifted, and 48,995 are duplicate entries. The list includes 5.03 lakh Gen Z voters born after 1997, and approximately 12.53 lakh millennials who are aged up to 45 years. There are also 3,270 voters who are 100 years old or older. “Around 2 lakh voters, consisting of deceased and duplicate entries, were bound to be deleted. For the rest, remedies have been provided through fresh registration using form 6. The 4.49 lakh deleted entries include unmapped voters and those whose enumeration forms could not be submitted. In the Kolhapur North assembly segment alone, over 80,000 voters have been deleted. In Solapur district, 6.22 lakh voters stand deleted after the first stage of the SIR. The total number of voters included in the draft list is 33.18 lakh, down from 39.41 lakh pre-SIR. In the Solapur City Central assembly constituency, a whopping 1.15 lakh voters stand deleted.

Those who have doubts regarding their voter details can approach us by submitting a simple application with relevant documents. The draft list includes voters who have anomalies in their details; they will receive a notice, but a hearing may not be required. The draft list is available on the ECI website. Voters are advised to keep their voter ID cards handy to check details such as district, assembly constituency, and, more importantly, the part number of the electoral roll to search the list effectively.
