It is perhaps the first time Nashik has attracted investment: The wider industry impact

Nashik : The district has secured investment commitments worth Rs 53,120 crore through agreements signed with eight firms at the Maharashtra Investment Summit in Mumbai, marking one of the biggest inflows of proposed investments for the district.

Leading the investment pipeline is Pi-Semicon Private Limited, which has proposed an investment of Rs 40,000 crore in data centres, IT and semiconductor projects. The proposal is expected to generate around 12,750 jobs, making it the single-largest investment commitment announced for Nashik.

Among other key proposals, Chandwad-based projects will receive a boost with Virtuoso Optoelectronics committing Rs 1,050 crore, which is expected to create 1,300 jobs. In Dindori taluka, Chiripal Poly Films has proposed an investment of Rs 1,858 crore in chemicals, agro and services sectors, with the potential to generate 2,000 jobs. It is perhaps the first time Nashik has attracted investment commitments exceeding Rs 50,000 crore through a single investment summit,” Nahar said.

Calling the announcements a watershed moment for the district, Nashik Industries and Manufacturers’ Association (NIMA) president Ashish Nahar told TOI the investments would accelerate industrial growth and employment generation. Chief minister Fadnavis highlighted the agreements as part of Maharashtra’s broader investment push, sharing details of the proposed projects on social media. “This will significantly boost economic activity and employment generation in the district.
