A 40-year-old driver of a Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation (MSRTC) bus was assaulted on Sunday at around 8 PM. The incident took place near Warana Circle, close to the Mafco market in Sector 18, Turbhe, which connects to the Sion-Panvel highway at the Sanpada flyover. The driver was attacked by four men in a sedan who claimed that the bus was about to collide with their vehicle in slow-moving traffic.
Navi Mumbai: In a road-rage incident, a 40-year-old MSRTC bus driver was assaulted by four men travelling in a sedan who alleged the bus driver was about to graze their car in the slow-moving traffic near Warana circle near Mafco market in sector 18, Turbhe, that connects the Sion-Panvel highway at Sanpada flyover. The incident occurred on Sunday around 8 pm. Acting on a complaint by the MSRTC bus driver identified as Balaji Kamble, a resident of Airoli, APMC police have registered an FIR against the four unidentified accused men by invoking relevant BNS sections for the offence of assault or criminal force to deter public servant from discharge of his duty, voluntarily causing hurt, intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of peace and joint criminal liability.
