Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar: Maratha reservation activist Manoj Jarange on Monday rejected the state’s latest attempt to dissuade him from resuming agitation, reiterating that his “decisive and final” indefinite hunger strike will begin at Antarwali Sarati on Aug 29. Warning of a larger agitation if authorities attempted to disrupt the Antarwali Sarati protest, Jarange said the movement could shift to Mumbai. He also warned the protest could later move to Mumbai, including near the chief minister’s official residence, Varsha. “Now there will be no stopping. He also demanded implementation of benefits available to the OBC community for eligible Marathas, withdrawal of cases against Maratha protesters, release of pending financial assistance to families of agitation victims and issuance of a govt resolution related to the Satara, Pune and Bombay-Aundh Gazetteers.
