Mumbai-based Sidmark Sales Synergy LLP has reportedly lost Rs 36.5 lakh due to a cyber fraud incident. The company fell victim when fraudsters spoofed the email identity of its Japanese supplier, providing fake bank details that led to the financial loss. This incident highlights the growing risks associated with cyber fraud in business transactions.
The company, which has lodged an FIR with the central cyber police, had ordered 18 tonnes of overlay paper from Tentok Holding Company Ltd. Believing the communication to be genuine, the company transferred the entire amount from its bank account on April 15, 2026.

The company subsequently received instructions from [email protected], allegedly directing it to transfer the money to a bank account held in the name of Tentok Holding Company Ltd.
