The arrest comes as the Crime Branch continues its probe into the October 18 murder bid on Tiger Shroff.
MUMBAI: The Mumbai Crime Branch has arrested a 22-year-old woman from Haryana for allegedly providing logistical support to the gang involved in the firing incident targeting actor Tiger Shroff in Mumbai’s Juhu area. With her arrest, the number of people held in the case has risen to 13, including three women. The arrest comes as the Crime Branch continues its probe into the October 18 shooting incident, in which unidentified motorcycle-borne assailants opened fire at Shroff’s car as he was leaving a football ground in Juhu. The 36-year-old actor escaped largely unhurt, while his driver and a bystander, a vlogger, sustained injuries. The 12 other accused arrested in the case are from Haryana’s Sonipat, Rajasthan’s Kota and Delhi, among other locations.
Investigators found that she had allegedly provided logistical support to the gang. The police have also invoked the Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act (MCOCA) in the case. The accused, identified as Suneha Pandit, was arrested from Haryana’s Karnal district on Sunday with the assistance of the state police, an official said.
