The protest is part of the party’s “Lehra Do Tiranga” campaign, launched by founder Abhijeet Dipke following the arrest of CJP leaders Saurav Das and Ashutosh Ranka in Delhi. Dipke has maintained that waving the national flag is a democratic right and urged citizens to join the demonstration. The proposed gathering is scheduled at Central Park in Connaught Place, where security has been tightened ahead of the protest. The Delhi protest follows the arrest of CJP leaders after they reached Jantar Mantar and allegedly held a demonstration without authorisation. The party has been protesting against alleged irregularities in the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls. Download the TOI App.
