Nagpur: Bappa has taken a cosmic detour this Ganesh Chaturthi , with Bal Yuvak Ganesh Mandal Social Foundation in Trimurti Nagar bringing its ‘Elements of Galaxy’ theme to life.
The installation is part of their continued effort over the past 25 years to present new themes and concepts during Ganeshotsav, according to mandal member Deva Dehankar.
The organisers said they have consistently attempted to use their decorations to highlight different social, cultural and spiritual themes. The response from visitors has been overwhelming,” he said. Dehankar said that apart from the main theme, the mandal has also incorporated several smaller elements to keep visitors engaged, including representations linked to Indian culture and spirituality.
“This year, we decided to explore the elements of the galaxy and present them in a way that would appeal to people of all age groups.
With a large number of volunteers involved, the mandal said preparations were carried out collectively, with workers handling everything from design and construction to social media promotion and visitor arrangements. The team has also focused on the idol and its presentation, ensuring that the decoration complements the spiritual character of Ganeshotsav.
