Nashik : The Nashik city police has planned traffic diversions for Ganpati immersion on Friday.

The traditional immersion processions will start from Wakadi Barav and pass through Doodh Bazaar, Gadge Maharaj Statue Road, Dhumal Point, MG Road, Ashok Stambh, Raviwar Karanja, Panchavati Karanja and Kapaleshwar Temple before reaching Mhasoba Ground, the immersion spot. These include the stretch from CBS Signal to Ashok Stambh, Raviwar Karanja, Malegaon Stand, Panchavati Karanja and Dindori Naka from both sides; the road between Baijabai Chhawani (Goda Park) and Ashok Stambh; Marathon Chowk and Ashok Stambh; Katya Maruti Chowk and Ganeshwadi; Khadkali Signal and Doodh Bazaar; Sarda Circle and Doodh Bazaar; and roads between Shalimar Circle and Sangli Bank Signal and between Shalimar Circle and Gadge Maharaj. Vehicles travelling from CBS to Panchavati will take Canada Corner, Old Gangapur Naka, Ramwadi, Makhmalabad Naka and Dindori Naka. Motorists travelling from CBS towards Nashik Road will use Gadkari Signal, Mumbai Naka and Bhabhanagar. Vehicles heading towards Dwarka and Adgaon from CBS will take Gadkari Signal, Mumbai Naka, Wadala Naka, Dwarka Circle and Tractor House. For immersion of household Ganpati idols and mandal idols at Anandwali, the road between Chandsi village and Anandwali will also be closed. Commuters from Chandsi village have been advised to bypass Anandwali Bridge and take a right via the Nashik Left Bank Canal along Chandsi Road towards Makhmalabad Road. In Nashik Road, the road from Bytco Chowk, Shivaji Maharaj Statue Chowk, Railway Station Chowk, Subhash Road, Satkar Point and Deolali Gaon Gandhi Statue to Waldevi River will be closed to traffic. MSRTC, city and private buses will take the Nashik Road flyover towards Sinnar Phata. Deolali Camp-bound buses and other vehicles will take Jai Bhawani Road from Jetwan Nagar towards Vihitgaon and further to Deolali Camp. Download the TOI App.
