NTKMA urges neighbouring districts to prepare regional transit plans for Simhastha Kumbh 2027

Praveen Gedam, the chairperson of NTKMA, has requested structured coordination and detailed preparedness information from neighboring districts in Maharashtra, as well as from Valsad and Dang districts in Gujarat. This request is expected to be fulfilled within the next 15 days.

Emergency Preparedness Plans Activated Ahead of Pilgrimage

Authorities have mandated that districts prepare disaster management and emergency response plans in anticipation of the upcoming pilgrimage. Each district must submit updated emergency operation plans, detailing health facility locations, ambulance deployment sites, and emergency control room contacts.

Additionally, district administrations are required to provide information on bus terminals, vehicle parking areas, railway holding points, and essential services such as water, health, and sanitation. Security measures, including police personnel deployments, CCTV networks, police check posts, and traffic control points, will also be part of the coordination efforts to manage the influx of pilgrims effectively. An official emphasized that these details are crucial for inter-district coordination during the event.
