Firdaus Ibrahim Baloch joined the Shroffs at the age of 20
Doctors have said Baloch is stable and out of danger. Police said he was traumatised and frightened. Three of the five bullets pumped into the vehicle broke through the passenger seat window. One of them struck Baloch on the left forearm. Tiger jumped to his aid immediately—he pushed the bleeding driver aside, took control of the car, and drove first to Santacruz police station and then to Nanavati Hospital. The Shroff family has reportedly offered to bear his medical and recovery expenses.
The Jogeshwari resident was driving Tiger home from a birthday celebration on Sunday when the assailants opened fire at the car. A Juhu police team recorded Baloch’s statement at the hospital on Monday.
Mumbai: Firdaus Ibrahim Baloch joined the Shroff family as a driver at the tender age of 20. Over the next 28 years, he grew to become a trusted employee and eventually became Tiger Shroff ’s personal caretaker and driver.
One of his family members told TOI that Baloch is completely devoted to his job and regularly accompanies Tiger, who travels on weekends to play football at the Juhu ground near which the attack took place. “He leaves home for work and stays with the actor till the end of day.” Baloch’s wife, his son, his daughter and other relatives rushed to the hospital on Sunday night after learning about the firing.
