Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar : A store manager of the multinational food chain outlet at Tapadia Plaza in Nirala Bazar, has been booked for allegedly misappropriating Rs3.21 lakh collected from the sale of food items at the outlet over a period of more than four months.
A case has been registered at Kranti Chowk police station against a 32-year-old suspect, who was working as the store manager at the outlet.
Police said they are examining the financial records and other details to ascertain how the amount was handled during the period. Assistant manager Abhishek Kumar Chauhan lodged the complaint following an audit conducted by the company. The company subsequently conducted an internal verification and approached the police after finding out that the amount remained unaccounted. Based on Chauhan’s complaint, police registered a case against the suspect for allegedly misappropriating the company’s money. Police sub-inspector Uttam Jadhav is conducting further investigation. Officials are also expected to verify the transactions and records related to the outlet during the period mentioned in the complaint.
