Pune: A cybercrook posing as a steel supplier duped a real estate developer from Pimple Saudagar of Rs6.5 lakh on the pretext of supplying him with steel at a cheaper rate. The fraud took place between Sept 8 and 11. An officer from Sangvi police said, “On Sept 8, the crook contacted the complainant online and claimed that he was a steel supplier based in Bidar, Karnataka . The complainant believed the crook and transferred Rs6.5 lakh to a bank account provided by him.
