Pune: On Tuesday, Daund police apprehended five individuals accused of assaulting five people, including two women. The incident occurred after a dispute arose over a motorcycle that brushed against the complainant’s car. Authorities responded promptly to the situation, leading to the arrests.
The incident happened near a hospital in Daund on Monday when the 20-year-old complainant was taking his mother for a medical check-up. The accused, Ashfaq Sayyad, and his four accomplices have been arrested under Sections 109 (attempt to murder), 115, 118 (voluntarily causing grievous hurt by dangerous weapons and means), 189, 190 and 191 (rioting) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS). The employee admitted fault and called Sayyad so that he could pay for the damages.
