Police registered a suo motu case against the injured man for illegal possession of a firearm
Deputy commissioner of police (Zone I) Krushikesh Rawale told TOI , “We conducted a thorough inquiry into the matter and registered a suo motu case against the injured man for illegal possession of a firearm. He had procured a country-made pistol from someone in Ahilyanagar.”
He said, “Our investigation into the firing revealed that the suspect had tried to blame his wife after using the pistol to shoot himself.
A case has been registered against him in Ahilyanagar,” Rawale said. The man claimed that she had attempted to kill him. But his wife’s statement to us was completely different. “The suspect had assaulted the family members of his wife three months ago. The couple’s two children stay with their grandparents at Shrirampur in Ahilyanagar district.
Pune: The Kasba Peth man (38) inflicted bullet injury on himself in his rented accommodation following an argument with his wife to allegedly frame the latter in the case, police investigation revealed.
