A 46-year-old woman from Kanan Nagar lost her life in a tragic accident in Kolhapur. The incident occurred when she slipped while riding her two-wheeler and was subsequently run over by a dumper truck. Authorities are investigating the circumstances surrounding the accident to determine the exact cause and any contributing factors.

The deceased was identified as Punam Rameshwar Shinde. Punam was driving the vehicle while her daughter was riding pillion. The mother-daughter duo were heading home from Dabholkar Corner. At Bakers’ Lane, Punam tried to overtake, but her vehicle went into rough sand and slipped. Punam was taken to CPR Hospital, where she was pronounced dead shortly after arrival. In response, the Shahupuri police have opened a case of accidental death to investigate the circumstances surrounding her passing.
