NAVI MUMBAI: Two men were arrested for allegedly assaulting and stabbing the secretary of a housing society in Adai village, Panvel taluka, following a dispute over a non-functional elevator around 11pm on Tuesday, police said.

PSI Supriya Pawar said Satpute allegedly stabbed secretary Vaibhav Ramchandra Patil (43), causing injuries to his neck, chest, abdomen, back and thigh. Stay updated with the latest Navi Mumbai news.

In his statement, Patil said Jadhav called him to the ground floor to discuss the elevator repeatedly remaining non-functional. Patil is undergoing treatment at Veer hospital in New Panvel. Jadhav was accompanied by Satpute, who allegedly argued with Patil before attacking him multiple times with a long knife. Satpute also allegedly pushed Patil’s wife when she intervened to rescue her husband from Satpute. Download the TOI App.
