Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar : Two SUVs — a Toyota Fortuner and a Mahindra Thar — were stolen in separate incidents in the city.
In the first case, a white Toyota Fortuner valued at Rs27 lakh was stolen from Plot 23 in Town Centre, N-1, falling under the MIDC-Cidco police station’s jurisdiction. Vehicle owner Bhanudas Balbhimrao Jadhav (50) told the police that he had parked the SUV around 9pm on Sept 15. The SUV was parked and locked outside the hotel around 9.15pm on Sept 12, according to the complaint filed by Nur-e-Saba Sheikh Shakir (29).
But when he returned around 8am the next day, the vehicle was missing. Police have registered a case against an unidentified person. In the second incident, a red Mahindra Thar was stolen from outside Minish Inn Hotel at Padegaon. She found the vehicle missing when she checked around 11am the next day. Cantonment police registered a case against an unidentified person.
