“She made a place in the hearts and minds of countless people as a charismatic leader and outstanding administrator,” Modi said, recalling her welfare-driven governance and focus on women’s empowerment, social justice and inclusive development. Union Home minister Amit Shah said Jayalalithaa reshaped Tamil Nadu’s development trajectory by ensuring that governance reached the poorest, calling her commitment to public service a lasting inspiration. Tamil Nadu BJP President Nainar Nagenthran hailed her as a leader who truly lived “of the people, for the people”, crediting her initiatives for women’s protection and public welfare for securing her a permanent place in popular memory.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi described Jayalalithaa as a mass leader whose influence remains undiminished.
PMK President Anbumani Ramadoss recalled her role in defending Tamil Nadu’s 69% reservation through legal means, describing her as an icon of courage, social justice and law and order.
