Thrissur : A 75-year-old man was allegedly hacked to death by his son at his house in Kaliyekkal, Thoyakkavu near Pavaratty on Saturday.

Prajeesh allegedly attacked Kumaran while he was entering the house after returning from fishing, according to the locals. Police, however, said the allegation would have to be investigated. The deceased was Veliyath Veedu Kumaran. Neighbours who rushed to the spot on hearing Kumaran’s screams took him to a nearby hospital. However, he succumbed to his injuries. Prajeesh has reportedly been facing complications related to drug abuse. Download the TOI App.
Kumaran’s postmortem will be conducted at Thrissur govt medical college hospital on Sunday, police said.
