A teacher was arrested for allegedly sexually abusing a minor student over several years
The accused was produced before the Thalassery POCSO Court, which remanded him to Kannur Central Jail for 14 days, the Kannur City Police Commissioner said.
KANNUR: A teacher has been arrested for allegedly sexually abusing a minor student repeatedly over several years, according to news agency ANI. Police said the accused allegedly threatened the child on several occasions to prevent the abuse from being disclosed. The victim is a child residing within the Chokli police station limits. Following the complaint, Chokli police registered a case under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act and other relevant sections of law. A police team led by Sub-Inspector Rakesh, along with Senior Civil Police Officers Rajil and Sabeesh, arrested the accused with the assistance of the Tirur police team.
