Shiju approached the woman’s seat and allegedly touched her without her consent, according to the complaint.
The accused has been identified as Shiju, 47, a native of Kadakkal in Kollam. The incident reportedly occurred around 3.30pm while the woman was travelling with her husband.

The couple had been allotted seats in different compartments f the train. The woman immediately informed the railway police about the incident. The alleged assault took place between Thrissur and Vallathol Nagar. When the train reached Shoranur, railway police detained Shiju and took him into custody. Shiju is a TTE attached to the Thiruvananthapuram railway division. A case has been registered.
