Police said Manjula , a resident of Moondraidaippu, was travelling to Tirunelveli city on a two-wheeler along with her four-year-old son and seven-year-old daughter. When they reached Ponnakudi, an unidentified vehicle rammed their two-wheeler from behind and fled . The impact threw the three off the vehicle. Munneerpallam police reached the spot and initiated an investigation. Police are trying to identify the vehicle involved in the hit-and-run accident and its driver. Tirunelveli: A four-year-old boy was killed while his mother and seven-year-old sister were injured after an unidentified vehicle rammed their two-wheeler near Ponnakudi in Tirunelveli district on Monday.
The boy sustained severe injuries and died on the spot while Manjula and her daughter were injured. People in the vicinity rushed to their rescue and shifted the injured woman and her daughter to Tirunelveli Government Medical College Hospital.
