An assistant commissioner of police along with five inspectors, 10 sub-inspectors and 80 other police personnel went for the search, during which they found the 53g of ganja. Police said the quantity seized was small and the offences were bailable. The substance was suspected to have been kept for personal consumption by the six students. Police also recovered other materials related to drug use. Cases were registered against the students, but they were not arrested.
