Former Idukki MLA Jose Kuttiyani
He was 87. Kuttiyani became the president of Idukki district Congress committee soon after the formation of Idukki district in 1972. He was elected to the assembly from Idukki constituency in 1980 and retained the seat in the 1982 elections.

He is survived by his wife Rani Jose, of the Nilakkathanam family in Kanjirappally, and children Sam Jose, Manoj Jose, Kshemma Santhosh and Paul Jose. Thodupuzha : Former Idukki MLA and the first president of Idukki district Congress committee Jose Kuttiyani died on Monday. The funeral services will begin at his residence in Thodupuzha at 2pm on Tuesday and will be held at St Sebastian’s Church, Muttom Sibigiri.
