T‘puram: The 47th Kerala Police State Athletic & Games Meet 2026 will be held in the city from Tuesday to Thursday, with around 2,000 police personnel, including national and international-level athletes, expected to participate.

The three-day event will be inaugurated by home minister Ramesh Chennithala at Chandrasekharan Nair Stadium. The closing ceremony will be attended by chief minister V D Satheesan as the chief guest. Prizes will be distributed to the winning teams, followed by cultural programmes. The meet is being organised under the message ‘Yes to Sports, No to Drugs‘. Police personnel from all police districts, special units, and armed police battalions across the state will participate. The competitions will be held at Chandrasekharan Nair Stadium and University Stadium. Download the TOI App.
As part of the meet, a marathon carrying the ceremonial torch began from the New Bus Stand in Kasaragod on Saturday morning. The torch is scheduled to reach Thiruvananthapuram on Tuesday.
