Kochi : Pre-conference programmes ahead of c0c0n 2026, the cybersecurity summit organised by Kerala Police, began in Kochi on Tuesday.

The inaugural ceremony featured sessions setting the context for both initiatives. Ankit Asokan, Superintendent of Police, Cyber Operations, delivered the Welcome and Opening Remarks, while P. Prakash IPS, IGP, SCRB & Cyber Operations, presented the Kerala perspective on the evolving cybersecurity and cybercrime landscape. Peter Pilley, Kindred Tech, shared a global perspective on partnerships for a safer digital future, while Kelvin Lay, Director, Technical Advisory Program (C-TAP), Childlight, addressed the gathering on “From Insights to Impact: Building a Safer Future for Children. The teams are working under the guidance of police officers, technology professionals, domain experts and mentors to develop and refine a functional prototype based on real-world policing requirements.

During the Hac’KP boot camp, the finalists have commenced development of the Agentic Child Protection Investigation Assistant (ACPIA), an AI-powered investigation support platform designed to assist authorised law enforcement agencies in analysing digital evidence, correlating information from multiple data sources, identifying critical leads and generating actionable investigative intelligence in child protection cases.
