Kochi : Pre-conference programmes ahead of c0c0n 2026, one of Asia’s largest global gatherings on cybersecurity organised by Kerala Police, will begin in Kochi on Tuesday.
The programmes include Project Lighthouse India 2026, a national leadership workshop on preventing cyber exploitation of children; HAC’KP 2026, a hackathon focused on the practical use of artificial intelligence in criminal investigations; and KidGlove, an initiative aimed at strengthening the digital safety of students and parents. Project Lighthouse India 2026, scheduled for Tuesday and Wednesday, will bring together senior IPS officers for a two-day strategic leadership conclave on tackling technology-facilitated child sexual exploitation and abuse. Kerala Police’s Counter Child Sexual Exploitation Centre has registered 2,305 cases under Operation P-Hunt, arrested 384 accused and seized 4,484 digital devices. The seventh edition of Kerala Police Cyberdome’s national hackathon, HAC’KP 2026, will be held as a residential boot camp from Tuesday to Thursday at Crowne Plaza in Kochi.
Representatives of global investigative agencies, senior IPS officers from across the country, technology experts, policymakers, academics, students and teachers are expected to participate in the programmes. The database proposed by Kerala Police will use artificial intelligence to facilitate coordination between states and link investigations with Interpol’s International Child Sexual Exploitation database.
The workshop will focus on threat assessment and offender profiling, the use of advanced technologies such as Photo DNA, deepfake forensic tools, cryptocurrency tracing and open-source intelligence, and the creation of a National Victim Identification Database.
