Kochi : Puthencruz Police arrested a 46-year-old man in connection with a motorcycle theft case on Saturday.
The accused allegedly stole a motorcycle belonging to the complainant, who was staying in a rented house in the Kolenchery area, on March 31. The accused, who had been absconding and hiding in the Uduma area of Kasaragod, was traced through scientific investigation methods, said the police. The police said that other cases are also pending against him at the Kundara and Kollam West police stations. Ajith Kumar of Perumpuzha, Kollam, is the arrested person. The vehicle had been parked in the courtyard of the house. Deputy superintendent of police N Babukuttan, inspector M P Eby, sub-inspectors Jithin Kumar, G Sasidharan, Manoj Kumar and Biju John, and senior civil police officer K R Akhil were part of the investigation team.
