Police said the teen filmed the reels himself while driving
Kottayam : Police have registered a case against the mother of a 16-year-old boy for allowing him to drive a car and ride a motorcycle without a licence in Adoor.
Police also registered a case against the motorcycle’s registered owner, a man from Kollam, who said he had sold the bike a few days ago. He filmed the reels himself while driving, police said. The boy had been posting reels of his drives on social media. Both vehicles were seized. The car is registered in her name. Traffic sub-inspector G Suresh Kumar had received information that the boy had been driving around Adoor and Kodumon for several days, often entering Adoor town during peak hours. Police subsequently stepped up vehicle checks in Adoor and nearby areas over two days. But the driver was a young man from Nedumon, who had no licence either. Shortly afterwards, the boy rode up on the motorcycle. Police took both into custody.
Around 1pm on Tuesday, they spotted the car at Parakkode-Ezhamkulam and stopped it.
