The main accused in the case is yet to be arrested
Keerthana , another teacher who was arrested in the case, had earlier been granted bail by Kerala High Court and released from jail on Sept 8. On Sept 7, the court had granted two days’ police custody of Jijil. The investigation found that more than Rs 1 crore had been credited to his bank account over a period of six months.
Wayanad native Shinto is the main accused in the MDMA sale and financial transactions case, according to the police. The money was later transferred from Jijil’s account to that of Shinto, investigators said. Kozhikode : Vadakara NDPS Court has rejected the bail pleas of three teachers arrested in the MDMA case. The court dismissed the bail applications filed by block resource centre (BRC) teachers Kavya and Neeshma and Jijil Kuriyakose. However, he has not yet been arrested. The police also found that Keerthana, Kavya and Neeshma had transferred money to Jijil’s account.
